Cremations
Compassionate guidance for a personal and respectful farewell.
Cremation is an increasingly chosen option for families seeking a farewell that is personal, flexible and centred on remembrance. At Massey Bros., we believe a cremation should never feel impersonal. It can be as meaningful and comforting as any traditional funeral, shaped entirely around the person who has died and the wishes of their family.
Cremation can form part of a wider celebration of life and may be combined with a traditional religious service, a non-religious ceremony, or a personalised gathering at a venue of your choice or within one of our funeral homes. Whatever your wishes, we will assist you in every way possible to ensure the ceremony honours your loved one’s life.
Our experienced funeral directors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, offering compassionate advice and practical support whenever you need it.

Planning a Cremation Service
Ahead of the cremation, we will work closely with you to plan a farewell that feels right for you and your family.
Some of the elements you may wish to consider include:
Religious or non-religious services
A traditional funeral service before cremation
A memorial service or celebration of life held separately or at the crematorium
Length and format of the ceremony
Choosing a celebrant, clergy member or family-led service
Music, readings and personal tributes
Photo displays, digital media or live streaming for those who cannot attend
Coffin and floral choices
Every family is different, and there is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to say goodbye. Our role is to listen, advise and help you create a ceremony that feels authentic and comforting.

Cremation is an increasingly popular option, offering families flexibility and the opportunity to create a personal and meaningful farewell.
While crematoria serve an essential practical purpose, they are also places of reflection, dignity and remembrance. We take great care to ensure that the emotional, cultural and spiritual needs of families are respected throughout the process.
