SMITH, Laurence (Larry), June 3rd 2025, late of Greenhills, Dublin 12. Peacefully in the care of the wonderful staff of Tallaght Hospital, following a long illness borne with great courage. Larry is predeceased by his parents Joe and May and brother Don.
Larry will be dearly missed by his wife and best friend Eileen, his daughter Andrea, son Brian, grandchildren Adam, Abby and Izzy, sister Marguerite, brothers Jimmy and Joe, sisters-in-law Ger, Julie, Pat, Marie and Laura, brother-in-law Tommy, Brian’s partner Helen, nephews and nieces, extended family neighbours and his friends, especially Charles, Kay and Jimmy.
May he Rest in Peace.
Reposing at Massey Bros. Funeral Home, ‘The Haven’, 177 Crumlin Road, D12 F864, on Thursday, June 5th, between 5pm and 7pm. Funeral Mass on Friday June 6th at 11.30am in the Church of the Holy Spirit, Greenhills, D12 YY0X followed by burial in Newlands Cross Cemetery, D24 K1CY.

Larry’s family would like to thank the staff of Tallaght Hospital for the exemplary care and dedication he received throughout his illness. Special thanks to the Vascular Surgery team who worked so hard to help him, and to the staff of Maguire Ward, especially Abi and Lija, for the kindness shown to Larry and his family over the past month. Also to the nurses in Limekiln Lane.
