Maura Gurke (née Kelly). It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Maura Gurke (née Kelly) of Ratingen, Germany, formerly of Blackrock, Dublin, peacefully at home on 15th September surrounded by her family after a long illness.

Maura was the spark that brightened all our lives; her incredible kindness and warmth will be remembered forever by all who knew and loved her. Predeceased by her husband, Waldemar, she is survived by her loving son Thomas, her daughter-in-law Gloria and her treasured grandchildren Thomas and Konstantin.

She will be sadly missed by her siblings Róisín, Thomas, Seán and Eamon, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, the Pagouras family and a wide circle of friends.

Louise is predeceased by her mother Mary, father John, daughter baby Louise and moss recently her grandson baby Archie.

Louise will be deeply missed by her devoted husband Padraig, her cherished daughter Carina, son Gavin, grandchildren, Éabha, Harry, Leon and Rían along with her sisters Noreen and Marie, brother Michael, daughter-in-law Emma, son-in-law, Derek, brother-in-law Philip, sister-in-law Dolly, her nieces and nephews, her extended family, friends and neighbours.

Elizabeth Mary (Betty) Heffernan (née McDonnell), West London, England / Omer's Cottage 11th Lock, Lock Keepers House on Grand Canal and Boot Road, Clondalkin, Dublin.

 Betty moved from Clondalkin, Dublin with her new husband John to a post war London in 1955. After a short and unexpected illness, she sadly passed away on 23rd August 2025 in the tender loving care of her son and daughter in law Jane, and the care of Charing Cross Hospital staff in London. After a short and brief illness, borne with typical courage and grace whilst never losing her legendary Dublin humour.

She will be sadly missed by her son Tony and Jane. Pre-deceased by her beloved husband John (Hospital, Limerick), parents Simon and Margaret, Brothers Sonny and Dennis, Sisters Lena, Marcella, Phyillis, and Margaret. Sadly missed by her youngest sister Shelia Pouch and sister-in-law Marie McDonnell, nephews and nieces and all her McDonnell family from Dublin, her Heffernan in-laws from Limerick, Friends and her carers in Miranda House care home Holland Park, London.

May God grant Betty eternal Rest and Peace.

Margaret will be missed by her children Anne with Peter Derom and Brian with Marisa Kehoe and by grandchildren Caroline with Javier, Sophie with Michiel, Katie with Jack and by Dylan Walsh as well as by Alana and Isabel O'Kelly. She will also be missed by her sisters Helena, Angela, Dolores and her brother Oliver. Sisters Patricia died 27th January 2024 and Betty who died 20th February 2020, brother Pat McCarthy died 18th January 2005. Margaret will be missed by her dear sister-in-law Rose Walsh, wife of Donald Walsh who died 17th November 2024.

Survived by his wife of 50 years Stephanie, his sons David, Conor, Stephen and Jonathan, grandchildren Nathan, Elaine, Róisín, Rebecca, Elliot and Alex, his daughters-in-law Fiona, Amanda, Cathy and Doireann, Terry, William and Edmund, sisters Monica, Anne, Phil and Catherine, nieces, nephews and wider family.

George was much loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

Reposing at his home in Delaford Drive on Thursday 18th September 2025 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Removal on Friday morning to St. Colmcille’s Church, Knocklyon arriving for 11.00am Requiem Mass followed by burial at Bohernabreena Cemetery.

Anne Laird-Caffrey

Anne Laird-Caffrey (Blackrock), peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of St. Vincent’s Private Hospital.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mum, sister, aunt and friend, Anne Laird-Caffrey.

Anne was the glue that bound us all together; her incredible kindness and warmth will be felt forever by all who knew and loved her. Predeceased by her mother, Margaret O’Neill, she is survived by her loving family: her father Sylvester, husband Colm, daughter Holly, son Alex and his fiancé Laura, and her siblings Paul, Mark, Trish, Martin, Therese, Steven and Tara.

Her loss is deeply felt by her uncle, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and wide circle of friends.

Our beautiful Anne will repose at Massey Bros. Funeral Home, Newtown Park (A94 X308), on Friday 19th September, from 5pm to 7pm. Her Funeral Service will take place in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium (D6W X296), on Saturday 20th September at 10am.

Anne was the most colourful and vibrant lady you could ever meet. In that spirit, the family would appreciate if those attending her service could wear colourful clothing in celebration of her life.
